This wiki is for helping with the progress and understanding of Hypersexual people and hypersexuality itself. This is a resource for teaching, and learning about hypersexuality and understanding it's many traits, quirks and issues. It should be used as material to help educate non-HS people about what it is like to be a Hypersexual person, and help people who are questioning if they are hypersexual understand if the label applies to them.
There are significant issues with the general public at large not understanding Hypersexuality or having preconceived ideas of what Hypersexuality is. Often even scientifically placed articles and sources do an incredibly poor job of describing hypersexuality in a way that most often completely ignores hypersexual people's own experiences and input on the matter. Many of these are outdated and use poor definitions that rarely take into account all factors of what hypersexuality is for the people who experience it.
Many Hypersexual people believe that hypersexuality is not simply a disorder, but rather is a Gender and Sexual Minority all it's own, and needs to be treated as such.
This wiki will serve to help allow HS people themselves to explain, and educate others, as well as help people who are just discovering they are hypersexual or confused if they are understand what they are dealing with.
